Vikram HaksarVikram Haksar is Chief of the Advanced Economies and Multilateral Surveillance Issues Division in the IMF’s Strategy Policy and Review department. He was previously the IMF’s mission chief for Brazil and Mexico, leading the team that set-up the IMF’s $70 billion Flexible Credit Line agreement with Mexico in 2009. He worked earlier on emerging economies in Asia and Eastern Europe and was the Fund’s resident representative in the Philippines. He received his Ph.D. from Cornell University.
