Ravi Balakrishnan is the mission chief for Peru and is in the Western Hemisphere Department. Previously, he helped manage the U.S. team and was mission chief for Bolivia. He was also the IMF’s Resident Representative based in Singapore during 2010-13, and has worked on the World Economic Outlook. His research interests cover labor dynamics, inequality, inflation dynamics, exchange rate dynamics, and capital flows. He holds a PhD from the London School of Economics.
