Mico Mrkaic is a senior economist in the IMF’s Research Department. Before joining the Research department, he worked in the European, Western Hemisphere and Statistics departments. His current research focuses on the economic effects of climate change, estimation of potential GDP during financial cycles, and the productivity of small and medium enterprises. Mr. Mrkaic received his doctorate in economics and Master’s degree in physics from Carnegie Mellon University.
