Juan SoléJuan Solé is Senior Economist in the IMF’s Western Hemisphere Department and works on the U.S. team, covering macroeconomic and financial developments and policies. Prior to this, he was seconded to the Financial Stability Board in Switzerland, where he assessed macro-financial vulnerabilities and helped develop policies to regulate shadow banks. He has also worked in a number of advanced and emerging economies, as well as been co-author of several chapters of the Global Financial Stability Report. Before joining the Fund in 2003, he worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis and taught at the University of Minnesota.
